Let’s stop pretending. You didn’t click because you were ready to face yourself. You clicked because there was a girl on a couch surrounded by cash. A soft promise of pleasure. Maybe sex, or wealth, perhaps even comfort. But definitely not truth.
And that’s the ridiculousness of the game. Not only on YouTube, but everywhere. You say that you want clarity, change, and real freedom. But when it comes down to it, what you really want is a high-resolution lie. One that flirts with you from time to time, sometimes a little bit on edge, but never crossing the line. A lie that seduces you just enough so you keep scrolling, but never ever enough to shatter the mirror in full.
This is why people will never be free. Not because we can’t be, but because we don’t want to be. Freedom is a painful thing to experience, and it costs everything that made you palatable to others in the first place. Freedom, rips apart the version of you that fits in. Most people don’t survive that transition and therefore they’d rather stay in the matrix for that tasty juicy steak.
Darwin never said that the strongest survive. He said that the most adaptable do. And the brutal truth is that the modern human has adapted perfectly to its own prison. Collectively, we’ve optimized ourselves for distraction. We are loyal to the lie because it feels safer than the unknown. And so, we worship the thumbnail, not the message. The messenger, not the meaning.
You clicked on this video expecting dopamine. Instead, you got a mirror. Most will click away within a few seconds. Not because the video is boring or the message is meaningless, but because deep down, they recognize the real threat. Something in them knows that this might actually make them feel something. That it might make them question something they’ve been taking for granted for years. Hell, it might even make them move from their chair.
Sadly, the large majority of drones can’t have that, not when the couch is so comfortable.
Are you one of those drones?
If yes, go ahead. Scroll past. Forget this. Go find something easier. Just don’t pretend you were ever looking for the truth.
If no, welcome aboard, you weirdo.
