We are drowning in answers to questions no one remembers asking.
The surface shines, while the foundation erodes.
And still, we optimize. Still, we measure. Still, we adjust.
Purpose has become packaging.
Branded virtues, slogans of sincerity—plastered over a hollowed-out center.
“Be happy.”
“Care more.”
“Work-life balance.”
Good for mugs. Weak for meaning.
Somewhere, the deeper compass was dropped, replaced with a checklist.
This is the new sanity.
Hyper-aware. Hyper-competent. Hyper-lost.
Every part of life reduced to a solvable unit, a system tweak, a life hack.
Tiny fixes stacked on forgotten fractures.
We build smoother machines atop shaking ground.
Matter itself has been moralized.
This is clean. That is dirty.
This is organic. That is toxic.
But atoms don’t care about our labels.
There’s no purity in branding—only a desperate hunger for control.
Meanwhile, the soul grows quiet.
The questions that once held the world open—Why are we here? What is this for?—
replaced by graphs, projections, protocols.
We’re treating a spiritual drought with data reports.
And calling it progress.
So we invent rituals.
Tree burials to honor the trees we’ve killed.
Plastic-free promises inside plastic-wrapped economies.
Solutions that solve nothing, but soothe the ache of disconnection.
We mistake the form for the function, the gesture for the healing.
And all the while, something ancient within us whispers:
This isn’t it.
We have not lost our intelligence—we’ve just outsourced our wisdom.
The problem isn’t in the numbers. It’s in the forgetting.
Forgetting how to feel. Forgetting how to grieve. Forgetting how to wonder.
When a society loses its myth, it worships its mirror.
Endlessly polishing the reflection.
Calling the shine “health,” “growth,” “development.”
But beneath it all, the real question waits.
Not what are we fixing—
But who are we becoming in the process?
